The Rock at La Cantera

The Rock at La Cantera is a $500 million legacy project for the entire Spurs Sports & Entertainment organization. Inspired by the Spurs longtime mantra, the campus name pays homage to “pounding the rock.” The concept of pounding the rock informs how the Spurs have long defined success – not as a tally of wins and losses, but as a steadfast commitment to daily incremental improvements.

The impact of The Rock is much greater than a new destination.

This campus confirms our long-term commitment to the city and our desire to continue to do all we can to ensure future growth and development here in San Antonio. For the community, we are creating a space for everyone to enjoy, for businesses to thrive and ultimately to facilitate research and advancements in human performance that can benefit everyone who lives here.

The concept for this performance campus took root in 2013 and SS&E broke ground on the site in 2021.

Our vision is for The Rock to help facilitate groundbreaking conversations among human performance thought leaders, researchers and top athletes, while designing a space that can be an intersection for community impact.
