What are the hours of operation?
Frost Plaza:
9:00am – 11:00pm daily
Splash Pad:
9:00am – 9:00pm daily
*Only open March through September when outside temperature is above 70 degrees.
Roca & Martillo:
Mon. – Thursday 11:00am – 10:00pm, Friday 11:00am – 11:00pm, Saturday 10:00am – 11:00pm and Sunday 11:00am – 10:00pm

Where can I park?
Free parking is available onsite and around the facility.
Splash Pad Hours
Our Splash Pad is open daily from 9 AM – 9 PM and operates from March through September, weather permitting (temperatures above 70°F).
• Maintenance Closures: The splash pad may be close periodically for maintenance or improvements. Updates will be posted on our social media channels.
• Safety: The water is treated in compliance with all with safety standards.
What are the Basketball Court Rules?
Use basketball court at your own risk.
The following are prohibited:
• Food, glass containers, or alcoholic beverages
• Pets
• Bicycles, rollerblades, or skateboards
• Hanging on the rim
Additional Guidelines:
• Proper athletic footwear is required at all times
• Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult

Guest Experience & Accessibility
Is The Rock at La Cantera accessible?
Yes. The Rock is designed to be inclusive for all guests with accessible parking, pathways, and restrooms. For additional assistance, please contact Guest Services.
Are public restrooms available?
Yes. Public restrooms are located at the north end of Roca & Martillo, near the half-court basketball court.
Is smoking allowed at The Rock?
No. The Rock is a tobacco- and smoke-free campus. This includes cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, vaporizers, smokeless tobacco, and pipes within 500 feet of the property.
Is there public seating available?
Yes! We offer a limited number of seating areas throughout the property. For larger events, such as movies on the big screen, watch parties, and more, guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets for comfortable viewing.
What is the bag policy?
The Rock at La Cantera encourages a clear bag policy for large & ticketed events, allowing clear bags (up to 12″x6″x12″) and small clutches (under 6″x9″), with exceptions for medical/diaper bags. For regular plaza visits, rules are more relaxed.
Ticketed Event Guidelines:
• Clear Bags: Permitted if clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC, no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ (includes clear backpacks/fanny packs).
• Small Purses/Clutches: Small clutches, wallets, or fanny packs (under 6″ x 9″) are allowed, even if not clear.
• Exceptions: Diaper bags (child present) and medically necessary bags are permitted but subject to search.
Prohibited Items:
• Large non-clear bags (backpacks, large purses).
• Outside alcohol, glass bottles, and outside food/beverages (check event for exceptions like sealed water or water bottles).
• Coolers, drones, laser pointers, weapons, professional cameras, and large noisemakers.
The bag policy depends on whether a special event is happening; we encourage guests to check the specific event’s website for event guidelines.
Food & Beverage
Are outside food and drinks allowed?
No, outside food and drinks are not allowed. A variety of food and beverage options are available for purchase onsite.
The following are permitted:
• Baby bottles and formula
• Small snacks for children
Is alcohol available for purchase at The Rock?
Yes, with the following guidelines:
• Limit of two (2) alcoholic beverages per transaction
• Guests appearing 30 years or younger must present valid ID
• Alcohol sales end 30 minutes before closing
Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct
The following Code of Conduct applies to all events and activities at The Rock at La Cantera.
Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful of others and the venue. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the property and/or a permanent ban, without warning.
Prohibited Conduct Includes, but Is Not Limited To:
• Using abusive, obscene, or disruptive language or gestures
• Being intoxicated or otherwise impaired by alcohol or other substances
• Fighting, throwing objects, or engaging in behavior that may harm or disturb others
• Using tobacco products, smoking, or vaping (including electronic cigarettes)
• Entering restricted or unauthorized areas, or areas without proper credentials
• Selling goods or services without written authorization from The Rock at La Cantera
• Wearing clothing with obscene or indecent messages
• Engaging in public displays of affection deemed inappropriate for a public setting
• Disrupting the progress of an event
• Engaging in criminal, dangerous, or unsafe behavior
• Failing to comply with instructions from venue personnel
• Riding bicycles, hoverboards, skateboards, skates, or wheeled footwear on property
• Flying drones
• Littering or vandalizing any property
• Remaining on property outside of posted hours of operation

Visitors may not bring the following items onto the property:
• Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, tasers, and toy or replica weapons
• Tobacco products, vaping devices, or electronic cigarettes
• Illegal substances
• Outside alcohol, including flasks
• Coolers or outside tents
• Metal chains
• Laser pointers
• Noisemakers
• Animals, except service animals and leashed dogs or cats where permitted
• Drones, hoverboards, skateboards, skates, or shoes with wheels
• Tripods or professional photography/video equipment without prior written approval
Management reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without refund, to deny entry to or remove any individual whose conduct is deemed inappropriate or detrimental to the experience of others.

Splash Pad Safety Guidelines
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, please follow these guidelines:
• Only service animals are permitted in the splash pad area.
• Children ages 12 and under must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
• Guests who are ill, have a contagious condition, or are experiencing diarrhea may not use the splash pad.
• Diaper changing is not permitted within six (6) feet of the splash pad.
• Splash pad water is not safe for drinking.
• Glass containers are not allowed in or around the splash pad area.
• Rough or unsafe play is prohibited.
Policies & Safety
Are dogs allowed at The Rock?
Yes! Dogs are welcome but must remain on a leash. Owners must clean up after their pets. Waste bags and disposal stations are available throughout the Gunn Family Coyote Dog Park.
Please note that for the safety of all guests during ticketed events, only service dogs are permitted.
Are bicycles, scooters, or skateboards allowed?
For safety, they are prohibited on Frost Plaza. They may be used in Gunn Family Park & Trails.
What should I do if I lose or find an item?
Call Security at 210-444-5700. Found items are kept for up to 30 days. The Rock is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Are there photography or video rules?
Personal use is allowed as long as it doesn’t disrupt guests. Prohibited:
• Filming children under 14 without parental consent
• Photographing/filming guests without consent
• Blocking walkways, climbing on structures, or using dressing tents
• Risqué/provocative shoots
• Glitter, confetti, cascarones, rice, or similar items
